
Lee Bird
Lee is an experienced Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator (CT SecCo) with significant practical experience in complex, high-risk London-based and national events such as the US Presidential visits in 2018 and 2019, Leaders in Counter Terrorism conference in 2022, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen.
With 25 years of policing service, he has extensive and in-depth experience of managing and delivering complex counter terrorism plans and developing contingencies across a range of portfolios. These include airport security, maritime counter terrorism, Ministerial and Royal protection, chemical/biological and explosive ordnance disposal, air security plans, and countering marauding terrorist and vehicle as a weapon attacks.
Lee has designed and delivered national and international training programmes including the EU Counter Terrorism Awareness course; and he has planned and run over 100 counter terrorism and emergency planning exercises. This has ranged from small tabletop exercises up to Tier 1 Home Office multi-agency counter terrorism events.
